Last time I wrote how important was for me to visit my first tattoo convention of my life in Daikanyama. At the same place we have now much bigger convention, visited every year by number of well known tattooers and it is called “King of Tattoo”.

This year was the King of Tattoo very special from few reasons. The most important was that Horiyoshi III., great, Yokohama based Japanese tattoo master accepted invitation and became the most important guest of this tattoo convention. Horiyoshi III followed by his son Souryou attended the convention on Sunday October 13th. While Souryou was tattooing his own client, Horiyoshi III executed body painting on two models at the stage.
Result was beautiful and you can see some images in next post (I will publish also a video showing Horiyoshi III painting his models later).

King of tattoo convention became also important from another reason. From now on it’s going to be also a time when Horiyoshi III will hold his exhibition. He said it is going to be every year at the same time and always shared with some another famous artist.

This year Horiyoshi III shared the gallery with a great painter, his life-friend and artist who copied many of his original tattoo designs, Mr. Ozuma. Even though this unique Japanese artist died two years ago, Horiyoshi III wished to pay tribute to his friend and exhibited several his paintings together with his own work.
